We typically have 2 couples of freshwater turtles that show up in our backyard in the spring. They’ve visited every year for about the past 10 years. This turtle showed up by himself this month. He ate ALL of the strawberries that I left for him. He’s smaller than the turtle couples that come every year. I THINK that turtles try to come back to their nesting place. So, maybe this is one of their babies! We rescue them when they’re babies and fall into our pool after they hatch!
