Katie, the owner of Sandy Paws Pet Sitting, provides trusted pet care throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties. She has been a lifelong animal lover with a dream rooted in the Florida lifestyle.

Growing up in New York City, she spent school breaks in Ponce Inlet, where she fell in love with the Florida lifestyle and envisioned a future surrounded by pets, sunshine, and the ocean.

Her journey with animals began early, working at a veterinary clinic in Hopewell, NJ, gaining hands-on experience in animal health and care. She later worked at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, where she developed a deep passion for rescue animals—especially Pit Bulls and senior dogs—and gained experience in training and behavior.

After moving to Florida in 2013, Katie continued working in professional dog care settings while fostering and volunteering for rescue organizations. Now based beachside in Ormond Beach, she has created a safe, loving home environment for pets, complete with a fully fenced yard.
